Program Description
The Master programme is a rigorous two year degree that combines analytical rigor and practical applications to provide students with the up-to-date tools, knowledge and intuition needed for economic policy analysis. It consists of a set of core classes (Macroeconomics, International Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Trade, Econometrics and International Development) and electives (to allow students to pursue particular interests, seminars are offered in the field of Monetary Policy, European Integration, Trade and Policy, Development, Economic History and Econometrics). In addition, students are invited to take courses in the other disciplines taught at the Institute (International Law, Political Science and International History and Politics). The programme ends with a thesis which represents a substantial effort as an independent researcher.

- If an application for the MIS in International Economics is to be taken into consideration, the student must hold: - a Bachelor’s degree – or a diploma deemed equivalent – in Economics or - a Bachelor’s degree in international relations.

- The complete application file must reach the Admissions Office by 15 January 2010.
Admission is decided by a commission on the basis of the candidate’s application file, his academic results, motivation and work experience, provided that this is relevant.
