Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

EPFL is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. From its foundation in 1853, the young engineering school has grown in many dimensions, to the extent of becoming one of the most famous institutions of science and technology. With state-of-the art facilities on a single campus, bright students and outstanding faculties, EPFL's reputation as a top-rate teaching and reserach institution continues to grow.

EPFL is located in Lausanne in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva, the largest lake in Europe, and in front of the Alps and Mont-Blanc. Its main campus brings together over 11,000 persons, students, researchers and staff. With 50% of its faculty recruited internationlly and 60% of its PhD students coming from abroad, EPFL is one of the most international universitites in the world. Daily interactions amongst students, researchers and entrepreneurs on campus give rise to new scientific, technological and architectural projects. With over 350 laboratories and research groups on campus, EPFL is also one of Europe’s most innovative and productive scientific institutions.

Not suprisingly, our graduates enjoy maximum mobility and international employment opportunities.
